Christmas is coming closer. It is such an exciting time of the year. I see the most beautiful decorations, many lights, also angels. We also see the displays of a crèche with the baby in it. The world is again waiting, waiting to celebrate the birth of Christ. The Christ that came into the world to save us from our sins. God loved us so much that He sent us His only begotten Son to set us free. This is the greatest gift we can ever embrace.
The Angel said to Mary: “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary was greatly troubled at these words, but the Angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, so the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Mary said, “Yes.” She did not know what to expect, but she said yes to our Lord because she loved the Lord.
The world is hungry for that perfect love. So often we can see how love changes situations and people. If we surrender our life to the Lord, He will show us and teach us how to love. He can use us to soften those hardened hearts when love enters their life. He wants our all, and He will give us His all. Life will never be the same. He will open our eyes and our hearts to see.
Let this Christmas season be a time where we join our hearts and hands to show the love of our Lord to many who are so hungry for His love. The only love that can bring change to the world, one soul at a time.
The new Christmas painting I created with the idea of the Angel surprising Mary in the garden. I just love it. My art is always a surprise to me also. I hope you will enjoy it too.
May you feel our Lords blessings and love especially this Christmas season.
Much love to all of you,
your friend Brunhilde
